The Department of Intercultural Affairs (ICA) advocates for unity amongst the diverse cultural organizations on campus. ICA works closely with organizations to promote diversity, inclusion, and cultural awareness at the university. This happens through facilitation of programs and events, as well as collaboration between all the cultural organizations on campus. Intercultural affairs deals with MSAC(Multi-cultural student advisory), planning Culture Carnival, as well as For the Night.

In his new role as Director, Zach Robinson is responsible for overseeing programs and initiatives that celebrate cultural diversity, promote social justice, and create an inclusive environment for all students. His leadership aims to bridge gaps between student organizations, the administration, and the broader student body to ensure that everyone feels represented and valued at UAlbany.

Zach brings a wealth of experience from his previous roles, where he managed intercultural events, collaborated with various student groups, and supported initiatives that highlighted the importance of understanding and appreciating diverse perspectives. As a strong advocate for student engagement, he works to create spaces where students from all backgrounds can thrive and feel empowered to share their voices.
