The Student Association’s Annual Purple and Gold Awards. More details to come…

The Cyber Defense Organization is excited to host our Great Dane Defense Competition (GDDC) this semester! This practical cyber defense competition welcomes competitors with any cyber experience!

You will be placed on a team of 5 competitors, working injects (hands-on tasks) while also battling against our combined student/professional adversarial red team.

This semester's competition theme is related to Hospitals and the medical industry, a fast-growing ransomware and cyber-attack target. Competitors will assume the role of security analysts within a medical facility, taking over from a previous team that didn't emphasize best practices. This has resulted in a multitude of risks associated with their network environment, allowing threat actors to exploit vulnerable application services. Competitors will be able to gain experience triaging and responding to active security incidents occurring in the network while working in a collaborative team environment.

The purpose of the event is to empower Black women with the knowledge and tools needed to take control of their financial futures. It aims to bridge the financial literacy gap by providing accessible education on personal finance, investing, and wealth-building strategies. The program seeks to address systemic barriers and equip participants with actionable insights to create generational wealth. By fostering a supportive and empowering environment, the event encourages networking and the building of strong financial communities. Ultimately, it strives to inspire confidence, independence, and financial freedom among attendees.

In collaboration with EmbraceThyCrown, National Congress of Black Women, Powerful United Ladies Striving to Elevate, Albany State University Black Alliance, African Student Association and the Department of Academic and Professional Affairs.

Sharing different experiences of Black love fosters unity, healing, and empowerment within the community. It highlights the beauty and diversity of relationships, from romantic and familial to platonic and self-love, showing that love is multifaceted and universal. By celebrating these stories, we combat negative stereotypes, inspire hope, and create a deeper sense of connection and pride in our shared cultural identity. This collective acknowledgment strengthens bonds and encourages mutual support.

Love comes in different forms and everyone is deserving of love.
